Jack Cloye Roseberry, 84, of Eastland, departed this life on November 29, 2013. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street, Abilene, Texas, with his nephew, Steve Roseberry officiating. Interment will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Road, Abilene, Texas. Jack was born on November 13, 1929, to Charlie Johnson Roseberry and Lila Dove Morgan in Levelland, Texas. Jack enlisted and served in the United States Army on December 28, 1948. He was transferred to the Army Reserve on May 16, 1950, and was honorably discharged on June 28, 1954. Jack married Lena Jeanette Cain on June 18, 1955. Jack and Jeanette lived in Tahoka, Texas until 1982 when they moved to Midland, Texas. They continued to live in Midland until they retired and moved to Lake Leon in Eastland, Texas, in 1993. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette; his son, Cloye Lee Roseberry; his parents; one brother, Charles Roseberry; and two sisters, Mahota Williams and Jean Burris. Jack was truly blessed and loved by his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Jackie Willis (Gary) of Andrews, Texas, and Julie Wells (James) of Pflugerville, Texas; one brother, Jerry Roseberry (Bettye) of Ft. Worth, Texas; six grandchildren, Jordan Willis (Kendall), MacKenzie Dunn (Ray), Daniel Dowdey (Laurie), Kendra Wells, Cedric Wells (Amanda), and Jasmine Ogwo (Brandon); five great-grandchildren, BJ, Kyani, Liyah, Zac, and Karlee; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
