Jackie Joe Dominguez, "Brother Jack" 69, of Abilene, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Jackie was born on June 3, 1955, in Syracuse, Kansas, to Joe Angel Dominguez and Josephine Alvarez Dominguez. He spent his early years in Goodland, Kansas, where he received his primary education before moving to Texas in the early 1970s. He worked alongside his uncle in a cabinet shop in San Angelo before settling in Abilene in 1978. There, he worked at the Mall of Abilene while attending Cisco Junior College. On March 26, 1982, Jackie married the love of his life, Sally Ann Rosales, in Abilene. Work eventually took him to Arizona, where he spent five years in the shoe business before returning to the city he called home. Upon his return to Abilene, Jackie found a new calling and joined the Methodist Church. He went on to become a devoted pastor, serving congregations in Rotan, Jayton, Hawley, Tye, and most recently in Memphis, Texas. His ministry was marked by compassion, wisdom, and a deep love for community. Jackie had a sharp mind and a warm heart. He was a lifelong learner who loved reading-especially Sherlock Holmes mysteries and World War II history. He was happiest outdoors, grilling for family and friends, where his laugh and stories always filled the air. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sally Ann Dominguez of Abilene; daughter Mandy Dominguez and her husband Charles Johnson of Abilene; brothers Rick Dominguez (Kim) of Arizona, Johnny "Whitecloud" Dominguez (Cassandra) of San Angelo, TX, and Jesse Dominguez of Austin, TX; and special nieces Jessica and Adriana Dominguez of Austin. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Raymond Dominguez; and sisters Corine Dominguez and Elizabeth Dominguez. A private graveside service will be held at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Services are entrusted to North's Funeral Home. Jackie's legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
