James "Jeff" Van Alstyne, age 50 of Abilene went home to his Lord in heaven on Tuesday. June 16, 2020. Internment will be private. Jeff was born in Midland, Texas on November 26, 1969 to Clayson W. and Linda Green Van Alstyne was a resident at the Abilene State School for many years He was a devote Christian who truly loved the Lord. Jeff loved life and never let anything hold him back from living it the way he wanted. He liked 18 wheelers, Heavy Metal Music especially Motley Crue. Jeff loved to have a pinch of Copenhagen Snuff now and again and was devoted uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He is now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven. Jeff leaves behind his siblings, Tana Perkins, Tamme Collins and husband Keith, Terry Simmons and Clayson VanAlstyne and wife Cindy; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Lindsey, Shawn, Aaron, Amy, Ben, Zara, Jazlyn, Isaac, Michael, Matthew, Marcus, Lucas and 14 grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Clayson and Linda.
