James Auvice "Andy" Andress 95 passed away on Thursday February 10 2011.   No services are planned at this time.   He was born on February 3 1916 and grew up in Hamlin Texas .   After living much of his adult life in Southern California Andy moved back to Abilene in the late nineteen eighties.   He was in the furniture business for many years.   He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters and his son James.   He is survived by his beloved wife of almost seventy three years Ruth Gillis Andress; son Stephen ( Elizabeth ) Andress; daughter-in-law Carolyn Andress; sister Lanelle; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.   On line condolences can be made at www.northsfuneralhome.com
