James Byron "J.B." Denson, age 79, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. A Celebration of J.B.'s life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at St. James United Methodist Church, 3100 Barrow St., Abilene with Rev. Donita "Dot" Lea officiating.
J.B. was born on December 24, 1941 in Pampa, Texas to Malcom and Ivo Wever Denson. He was an Advertising Sales Representative for over 40 years. J.B. was an avid bowler and served as a member of various boards for the United States Bowling Conference . He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church for many years and served as Church Liaison to McMurray University. J.B. loved gardening and was involved with the St. James prayer garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the "Love of his life", Sandra "Sissy" Thompson.
J.B. is survived by his children, Cinda Rose, Ryder Thompson and wife Ashley, Rodney "Bear" Thompson and wife Christy and Robert "Tiger" Thompson; brother, Wayne Denson and wife Carolyn of Arkansas; nephews, Brendon Denson and wife Jennifer of San Angelo and Kevin Denson and wife Kara of Austin; grandchildren, Steven "Pete" Rose, Alyssa Ware, Scott Ware, Tanner Rose, Ryson Thompson, Ryker Thompson and great grandchild Tavin Ware.
