James Earl (Jamie) Zimmerle, 63, went to his eternal home September 16, 2016. His memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday with Brent Isbell and Eddie Mahaney officiating, in the University Church of Christ Chapel, 733 EN 16th, with visitation at 2 p.m. Jamie was born November 5, 1952, in Abilene, Texas. Jamie loved flying with his dad and also loved riding in their 1954 Lincoln convertible in parades, especially the ACU homecoming parade. He also enjoyed going on trips with the VA Ford Club and loved each member. He was preceded in death by his mom. He is survived by his dad, Earl Zimmerle. Sister, Dianna Zugai and husband Jay. Nieces Shauna Thoresen and husband Kevin of Tampa Bay, Fl., Whitney Zugai of Lubbock, Lauren Zugai of Austin and the many caregivers at The Oaks at Radford Hills.
