Jason Wayne Dane 41 of Abilene, passed away on November 15, 2021.
Jason was born on March 8, 1980 to James Dane and Cheryl Pigott. Jason attended school in the Abilene ISD and obtained his GED. He worked in the water well industry.
Jason was a fun loving person who loved his family with his whole heart. He cherished his children and loved fishing with his son Kamdyn. Jason was a very hardworking man and would end his work week by helping his extended family with anything they needed on the weekends. Jason especially enjoyed spending time with his brother-in-law Mike, drinking ice cold beer and barbecuing for the family. Mike and Jason shared a brotherly bond like no other.
A direct quote from Jason: "To all my friends and family….Know that you are one and the same, And know too, That I love you more today, than I did yesterday, but not nearly as much as I will love you tomorrow."
Jason was preceded in death by his father James Dane; his maternal Grandparents Gene and Della Hickey; his paternal grandparents Wesley(Hookie) and Geraldine Hargrove; his Uncle Johnny Hargrove; his Aunt Ladonna Peables and cousin Michael McGinnis.
Jason is survived by his mother Cheryl Pigott and his stepfather Steve Pigott (whom Jason always emphasized was an extremely important person in his life)both of Canton, Ohio; stepmother Donna Dane of Abilene, Texas; sons: Jonah Westmoreland of Abilene, Tx and Kamdyn Dane of Trent, Tx; daughter: Emmaleigh Dane of Trent, Tx;
Sisters: Rebecca Killam Taylor of Canton, Ohio; Vanessa Peters of Canton, Ohio;
April Newbury of Abilene, Texas ; Jennifer Benavides (Michael) of Buffalo Gap, Texas, James McBroom of El Paso, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service is being planned by his family at a later date.
