Rev. Jeffery R. Andrews 38 of Abilene passed away Sunday, November 8th, 2020 in Abilene, Texas funeral services will be held Saturday November 14, 2020 at 11am at New Light Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Friday November 13, 2020 from 6-8pm at the North's Funeral Home Chapel. How blessed were the lives of Willie and Barbara when on May 22, 1982 they welcomed the arrival of their handsome bouncing baby boy, loving bundle of joy, they named him Jeffery Renaldo Andrews. Jeffery received his formal education from the Abilene Public School System. A proud Abilene High Eagle football defensive lineman and concert choir singer. He furthered his secondary education by attended Angelo State University and Cisco College receiving an associate of Arts degree in December 2005. Jeffery was very active in church from an early age when he gave his life to Christ and begin working out his own soul salvation at New Light Baptist Church. He was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Leo F Scott, where he served as member of the youth choir, Sunday school, Sunday School Superintendent, Brotherhood member, youth Director, youth usher, Male chorus and Deacon. Jeffery participated in Progressive West Texas Missionary Baptist Association and Congress where won many speakers tournaments throughout the years. In 2009 Jeffery accepted his call to the ministry and was ordained as a minister of the Gospel under the leadership of his Father in the Ministry Pastor Eddie Jordan. In 2016 he was called to be the Pastor of Mt Moriah Baptist Church where he proudly served until September 2020. Then he began his new journey at True Religion Church as the Executive Pastor with Rev. Jeremy Jay. Jeffery believed in and lived John 9:4 "I must work the work of Him that sent me, while it is day, for when night comes no man can work." Jeffery met in high school the love of his life Angela Daughtery and her daughter Miyannah Smith, they were joined in Holy Matrimony on Dec. 2, 2017. Jeffery leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife Angela, daughter Miyannah Smith, his parents Willie and Barbara Andrews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
