Jeri Ann Main 62 of Abilene passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 19th at 9:30am at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Innocent Eziefule officiating, followed by interment at the Texas State Veteran Cemetery at Abilene. Visitation will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 5:00 - 6:00pm with a Wake Service beginning at 6:00pm, both will be held at North's Funeral Home located at 242 Orange St. Abilene Texas.
Jeri Ann Hicks was born December 19,1960 in Kilgore, Texas to Jerry Mac and Margaret Jones-Hicks
Jeri married the love of her life Marc Main on July 9 1983, the son of Philip Main and Alix Gassmann. Jeri served 4 years in the United States Air Force at Oson Air Base Republic of Korea and Peterson Air Force Base Colorado. Jeri had no biological children, but was a loving mother to many especially here in Abilene. No matter what was on her plate, she always had room for more. Her lap was never too small. Jeri was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, since 1997 and was a member of the Guadalupana Society, a Catechist Lector, Eucharistic Minister and Member of the 9am Sunday Choir at St. Francis.
Jeri loved to crochet no matter where she went or what she was doing, you could find her with a crochet needle in one hand and a bag of yarn in the other. She was always making something for someone besides herself. A specialty of hers were baby blankets and a majority of those went to Pregnancy Resources of Abilene.
Jeri was preceded in death by her father Jerry Mac Hicks and Step Father John Sherrick.
Left to cherish her memories are: husband of 40 years, Deacon Marc P. Main of Abilene, Texas, brothers; Gary Hicks and Terry Hicks, half sisters: Gwen Salinas and her children Anthony and Megan, Cathy Sue Sherrick Pollard and her children Elizabeth, Heather and Shawn, Margaret Sherrick and her children Cara and Jared and Jennifer Fielding and her children Ella and Natalie.
