Jessica Lee Peoples 47 of Abilene passed away Wednesday January 14, 2026, Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 28, 2026 at 3pm at New Hope Church 3122 S Clack St, Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held Tuesday January 27, from 5-7pm, at North's Funeral Home. Jessica Lee Peoples was born on October 4, 1978 in Fort Lewis, Washington, to James Niemczyk and Karen Mishich. As the daughter of two United States Air Force parents, Jessica moved frequently during her early years, learning adaptability and resilience from a young age. In October of 1986, she settled in Abilene, Texas, which she would proudly call home for the rest of her life. Jessica attended Abilene Public Schools, including Bonham Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, and later Abilene High School and Abilene Cooper High School. After completing her education, she began her career in the restaurant industry, where her warm personality and strong work ethic shined. She worked as a server for over ten years at several well-known Abilene establishments, including Hilton Garden Inn, and Betty Rose's. Jessica had a deep love for animals and operated her own pet-sitting business, caring for animals with the same devotion she showed to people. A Christian woman of faith, she was a devoted member of New Hope Church in Abilene. She enjoyed reading and singing, found peace in fishing alongside her husband, and cherished traveling and making memories with loved ones. In 2018, Jessica married Anthony Peoples of Abilene, Texas. Their marriage was filled with love, companionship, and shared adventures. Jessica is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Peoples of Abilene; her mother, Karen Ward and husband Billy of Abilene; her sister, Jennifer Dinius and husband Phillip of Abilene; her brother, Nicholas Niemczyk and wife Tiffany of Wisconsin; seven stepchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James Niemczyk. Jessica will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, love of family, and unwavering faith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hendrick Hospice Care.
