Jimmy Dale Allmand,62, of Abilene, arrived at the gates of heaven on February 12, 2023. Jimmy was born on September 29, 1960, to Calvin and Patricia Allmand in Abilene. After graduating from Cooper High School, Jimmy married Vickie (Warren) in December 1979. Jimmy had a passion for cooking and loved to cook for many. Jimmy spent his career in Food Service, with 26 years in the nutritional department at the Abilene State Supported Living Center. Jimmy's hobbies included fishing, boating, and cooking during the holidays. Jimmy loved popping fireworks on the Fourth of July. When Jimmy wasn't spending time with his friends and family, he helped with many activities at the State Supported Living Center, including Halloween and Christmas Lane. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Patricia Allmand, his brother Charles Allmand, and one nephew Mark Simons. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vickie Allmand; sisters-in-law Mandy (Johnny) Neeb and Brandy (Harley) Hannon nephews Thomas Allmand, Phillip Allmand, Jeffery Allmand, Jeremy Simons, Andrew Hannon, and Dustin Hannon and several great nieces and nephews. Services for Jimmy will be held at North's Funeral Home Chapel Monday, February 20, 2023, at 2 pm. Flowers may be sent to North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St, Abilene, Tx 79601. Any donations in Jimmy's honor should be sent to the Volunteer Services Council at the Abilene State Supported Living Center.
