Jimmie Lee Daniels age 77 went home to be with his Lord on July 25, 2025 with his family and friends by his side. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 9, 2025 at 11am at First Baptist Church in Rotan, TX, Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Abilene, TX. Jimmie Lee Daniels (ICE Cold) was born in Perry, Texas to Sullivan Daniel, Sr. and Clara Mae Cesar-Daniel on August 16, 1948. He worked at the Cotton Gin, in the Oil field, and the Funeral Home in Haskell, Texas. He married Lily in 1984. Jimmie was a huge fan of Westerns. Ice Cold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing spades, dominoes, fishing and horseback riding and listening to gospel and blues music. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Sullivan, Sr. and Clara Mae Daniel; His wife Lily; ten brothers, Sullivan "SD" Daniel, Jr., Jerry "JD" Daniel, Leon "Doc" Daniel, OV Picken, Albert Morris Daniel, Hayward Daniel, Ora Lee Gunn, Tom Degrate and Marc Degrate, and Willie Lee Daniel; five sisters Bobbie Jean "Bob" Daniel, Ossie "OC" Huitt, Ester Pearl Daniel, Jodie Anderson and Mary Louise. Jimmie is survived by three sisters, Mae Ellen "Lucy Daniel of Abilene, Texas, Lillie Mae Daniel of Abilene and Vernell "Boobie" Jones of Rotan, Texas; 5 sons Herman McCann (Raquel), James Franklin (April) David McCann, all of Fort Worth, Texas, Chris McCann of Abilene, Texas, Tyrone McCann (Valerie) Tucson, Arizona; Daughter, Sherry Davis (Jevon) of Fort Worth, Texas, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church in Rotan, TX. The family of Jimmie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Niece Cynthia and Sister Lucy who stayed with him so that he could be in the comfort of his own home, Gentive hospice nurses and staff.
