Obituary

Jimmy Bernard Edmond, affectionately known as "Jimbo," was born on February 4, 1963, in Abilene, Texas. He departed this life on March 4, 2025, at a local hospital, at the age of 62. Jimmy was a lifelong Abilene resident who attended Taylor Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, and Cooper High School. He had a deep love for sports, especially as an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family and close friends. Whether he was watching a game, sharing laughs with his buddies, or tending to the flower beds alongside his mother, Jimmy lived a life filled with warmth and connection. He worked in various fields before dedicating over 30 years to Herrera Construction, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. Jimmy was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, father as well as his brothers Danny Wigfall and Victor Wigfall. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Joshua Edmond; his mother, Dorothy Edmond-Wigfall; his sisters, Brenda Smith, Janet Wigfall, Shelia Doolittle (Sammy); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and dear friends. Jimmy's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
