Jimmy William Shaner Sr. passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, 10:00AM at Eula Cemetery with Pastor Jami McCravey officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at North's Funeral Home. Jimmy William Shaner was born in Abilene, Texas to Duane Shaner and Jenelle Tarrant Shaner on October 6, 1943. He attended Abilene High School and McMurry College in Abilene. He graduated from Abilene High School. He married Sharon McIntyre on June 4, 1965 in Abilene. He served in the Army National Guard. He was involved in International Lions Club, Boy Scouts and Masons. He earned a PhD in religion. Jimmy William Shaner was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers Bill and Gary. Jimmy William Shaner is survived by wife Sharon, son Jimmy , wife AnnMarie, son Michael, Granddaughter Michelle Rivas and husband Vincent, grandson Jimmy and granddaughter Erin, great granddaughter Britaney Davis and husband Donshe and great grandson James Rivas and great granddaughter Doris.
