Joann Proffitt " Guinea " 80 of Abilene passed away Wednesday February 22 2012. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Santa Anna Cemetery with Pastor Claude Fry officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street .   Ms. Proffitt was born October 23 1931 in Coleman Texas to Robert and Addie Bouchillon. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1948. She then attended and graduated from Draughan's Business School . She worked at Southwest Savings and Loans for thirty-two years where she served as Assistant Vice President. In 1975 she married Weldon Lee Proffitt in Las Vegas Nevada . She loved to play 42. Her greatest love of all was her children and grandchildren and she was truly their foundation.   She was preceded in death by her parents husband one son; David Lee Proffitt one brother; Bob Bouchillon and one sister Audry Guthrie.   She is survived by three daughters; Makayla Carroll of Abilene Michele Walker of Gordon Texas and Linda Pappas of New Castle Colorado grandchildren; Robert McKeehan John Graham James Graham Mitzi Hutchison and Richard Pappas great-grandchildren; Tony Hutchison Jr. Kevin Graham Zachary Graham Tony Hutchison III Malachi Fry and Elijah Hutchison brother; Sam Bouchillon and wife Joan of Abilene.
