Joe B. Merrifield, 65, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in Abilene, TX, Grave side service will be held Saturday March 29th 10:00 am. at Old Runnels Cemetery. In Ballinger, TX Joe was born in Ballinger, Texas, where he grew up and attended school. He began his working life in the oil field before transitioning to a career as a painter. Joe had a true passion for life, which included hobbies such as fishing and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his mother, Grace Merrifield of Ballinger; his son, Rodney Merrifield and wife Angela of Ballinger; his son, Jeremy Merrifield and wife Danielle of Philadelphia; his brothers, Bruce Wayne Merrifield and Kenneth Ray Merrifield, both of Ballinger; his sister, Peggy Lynn Merrifield of Possum Kingdom Lake; four grandchildren; and a host of extended family and many friends.
