Joe Perales age 65, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 16 from 12pm to 5pm at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street, Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, August 17 at Abilene City Cemetery. Joe was born on September 9, 1954 in Abilene to Jose and Angela Campos Perales and lived in Abilene his entire life. He worked as a cement finisher in the area for many years and a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Joe dedicated his life to helping those around him. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Jose; brother-in-law Manuel Fernandez and great grandson, Jeremy Scott, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Angela Perales; children, Vanessa Perales and husband Lindley, Courtney Perales and husband Donavan, Frances Scott, Eloisa McNeal and husband E.J., and Joey Perales; siblings, Mary Fernandez, Ricarda Perales Ortiz, Gloria Soto and husband Ubaldo, Josie Soto and husband Manuel, Adolfo Perales and wife Lucy, Sylvia Vargas and husband Jose, Olivia Lopez and husband Philip, Johnny Perales and wife Terry, Frank Perales and Lupe Hatfield; 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
