Joe Lawrence Zachry, "Uncle Joe", 56, of Abilene, Texas passed away Monday, April 20, 2020. Joe was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Joe is survived by his two daughters, Bridget Laber (Jessie Laber) and Brooke El-Attrache (Ethan El-Attrache), parents Leon and Napa Zachry, siblings Cindy Billups (Scott), Becky Hughes (Sean), Karen Savage (Tim), Sharon Zachry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Katie "Mom" Zachry, grandmother, Bessie "Grandmother" Martin, and his grandson, Mason Robert Zachry. They are all together now. Due to unprecedented times, services will be postponed until a later date. North's Funeral Home located at 242 Orange St . in Abilene will be handling the cremation services. A memorial barbeque and Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations towards Joe's funeral costs and memorial can be made directly to North's Funeral Home Or to the link below. An "Uncle Joe" style BBQ Cook off will take place during Summer 2021 in honor of Joe.
