John Wesley Cowen 18, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Friday, March 15, 2024 at North's Funeral home 242 Orange St. Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at North's Funeral Home from 6-8PM. With Burial at Clyde Cemetery at 1pm. John Wesley Cowen was born August 30, 2005, in Abilene, Texas to James Cowen and Crystal Serafine. John Wesley had a big heart and tremendous love for all his family and friends. His smile and sense of humor were very infectious, you couldn't be around him and not smile too. He loved skate boarding, video games, and all things comic book. He enjoyed spending time and watching his favorite television shows with all of his siblings. John Wesley was a one of a kind human and most recently got the title of uncle. He was such a bright shining light that contagiously affected everyone around him. John Wesley leaves behind, father James Cowen and step mother Savanna Cowen, mother Crystal Seratine and step dad Jason, brothers and sister, Quentin Serafine, Jared Cowen, Mistie Macias and husband Blas, Autumn Serafine, Jacen Cowen, Ailah Cowen, Josef Cowen, and Aspen Cowen, and nieces Soona and Athena Macias, grandparents, Jerry and Sarah Maynard, John "Hat" Cowen and wife Kathy, and Dana Cowen.
