John Anthony Martinez 48 years old, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on August 19th, 2022 in Abilene Texas. Memorial service will be at 12:00PM on Friday August 26, 2022 at North's Funeral Home chapel. A prayer service to follow with Pastor McCravey of Old Paths Baptist Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street in Abilene ,TX 79604. John Anthony Martinez was born in Mineral Wells, Texas to Johnny Martinez and Virginia Valverde on October 15th, 1973. He attended Cooper High School in Abilene, Texas. He loved playing the guitar, watching football/Dallas Cowboys and listening to music. John Anthony Martinez was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Valverde; grandmothers, Albina Herrera, Petra Martinez and grandfather, Jose Martinez Jr. John Anthony Martinez is survived by his father, Johnny G Martinez; brothers, Charles "Rene" Martinez and Charlie Viscaino; nephew Raymond "Michael" Martinez; niece Samantha Renee Martinez; aunts Molly Magana, Vera Cantu, Jane Ortega, and Eva Barrera.
