Obituary

John Wanjau Wahome 39, of Abilene passed away Monday, 03/21/2022 at his home in Abilene, TX. Memorial service will be held Tuesday March 29 at 7pm at North's Funeral Homelocated at 242 Orange ST. Abilene TX, 79601. Please join the family for fellowship as we share memories of John Wahome at the Family Life Center from 5-6:30pm 1442 N. 2nd St.

He was born March 11, 1983 in Nairobi, Kenya to Benson Wanjau and Purity Wahome. In 2004 he moved to the U.S. to further his education at Abilene Christian University. Shortly after coming to the states, he fell in love with Cynthia Wahome and grew a loving family. While studying for an HVAC certification at Cisco Jr. College, John worked as a FedEx Delivery Driver. Through hard work and determination he became a FedEx Contractor and grew a successful business, Wahome Inc.

John never met a stranger and often shared friendly conversation and laughter with those he met. His friends and family all knew him as "The Meme King." He loved grilling, fishing, and watching football, but most of all he loved his family.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Cynthia Wahome of Abilene, His children Chantelle Wahome, John David Wahome, Cierra Villarreal and Uriel Villarreal, all of Abilene. Teri Johnson and wife Ronesha Johnson of Beaumont. Loving Parents Purity Wahome and Benson Wanjau as well as his brother Samuel and sister Carolyn, all of Kenya.
