Johnnie Mozell Bush 98 went home to join her departed loved ones on April 26 2012 in Del Rio Texas. She passed gently from this world to the next. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 3 2012 at Elmwood Memorial Park      under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street in Abilene.     She resided at La Vida Sarina Nursing and Rehab in Del Rio and was a long time resident of Abilene. Mozell was born in Jayton Texas on December 23 1913 to Lewis and Anna Bell Mason. She graduated from Jayton High School and went one year to a university in Fayetteville Arkansas. She had two brothers Cecil and Odell (better known as Bottles) Mason. She married Johnny de Cordova of Petersburg. They had two children; daughter Mason and son Lewis Henry. She later married Weldon Bush of Cross Plains. She was a hairstylist for more than fifty years. She was very creative and multi-talented. She loved art reading writing decorating sewing and designing clothes. She loved music and dancing but often said she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. She also loved rodeos and anything western. She always put other's needs above her own. She was often caregiver for family members including her mother father and aunt. Those who knew her loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Anna Bell Mason; son Lewis Henry de Cordova; brothers Cecil and Odell Mason; and husbands Johnny de Cordova and Weldon Bush. She is survived by daughter Mason and RQ Black of Del Rio; two grand-daughters Monique and Larence Tucker of Bandera Michelle and Glen Carey of Corpus Christi; great-grandson Ross Taylor; niece Ann Mason of Waco; and nephew Wayne and Carolyn Mason of Sundown.
