Jose Luis Baez, 60yrs old of Odessa Texas, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023. Visitation will be held Monday December 18, 2023 at North's Funeral Home Chapel from 2-4PM 242 Orange St Abilene, TX 79601. Jose was born April 5, 1963 in Coamo, Puerto Rico to Paula Zayas and Jose Baez. Jose received his primary education from Franklin High School. After High School he served in the Army. Jose was a father to six children and 10 grandchildren, he has 11 brother's and sister's. He was always dedicated to his work, and always volunteered for anything. He was very helpful and kind to everyone he met and knew. He always made everyone laugh and dance when he got the chance to. Jose had many close friends and other family members who so adored and loved him. In His spare time he loved to hunt, fish, cook, tell jokes, and loved outdoor camping. Most of all he loved playing with his grandchildren. Jose was preceded in death by Stepfather Miguel Vega, and Mother Paula Zayas. Left to cherish his memories are: Wife; Nelida Baez, Daughters; Michelle Baez, Katrina Baez, Maria Milagros Baez, Sons; Jose Luis Baez Jr, Mario Calero, Mark Anthony Calero, Brothers; George Ortega, Guillermo Munoz, Edwin Berdecia, Angel Vega, Armando Vega, Ramon Vega, sister's; Nilda Broberg , Omari's Vega, Minerva Vega, Virgin Milagros Vega. Father: Jose Luis Baez, several uncles and Aunts, 10 Grandchildren, Johnny Aponte, Jacob Valverde, Milo Calero, Mac Calero, Emery Calero, Noah Calero, Tobias Calero, Raphael Flores, Christopher Flores, Matthew Flores and 20 Nephews and Nieces.
