Jose Miguel " Mike" Lopez, age 66 of Abilene passed from this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Visitation will be on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm, with the Rosary at 7pm at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St., Abilene. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 30 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Drive, Abilene with Father Emilio Sosa officiating. Burial will follow at Elliot Hamil Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be, AJ Lopez, Vicente Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Matthew Lopez, Zachary Lopez, Jorge Lopez, Isaac Lopez, and Jose Corral. Mike was born on May 30, 1954 in Abilene to Ignacio and Emilia Lopez and lived in Abilene most of his life. He was a graduate of Abilene High School. Mike could accomplish anything he set his mind to, and at a very early age he learned to love going on his own adventures. Mike worked for Western Marketing, Pumpco, Morris Ready Mix and was retired from the City of Abilene. He was a loving husband to his wife Julie, a caring grandpa to 9 grand kids and 5 great grand kids. Mike was a devoted brother to his 7 siblings and a faithful friend who was always ready to help others. His number 1 hobby was working on his vehicles and on a good day you could always find him outside working on one. Mike is survived by his wife of 48 years Julie; sons, Michael, Frank, Trinidad and numerous other family members and friends.
