Jose Sotelo, age 79 of Abilene entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at his home. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm, Sunday, November 22 at North's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Monday at North's. Interment will be private. Jose was born on August 6, 1941 in Durango, Mexico to Victoriano and Angelina Sotelo. He worked for many years as a butcher at the Gooch Meat Market. Jose was preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his children, Cristina Sotelo. He is survived by his children, Norma Santana and husband Carlos of Abilene, Miguel Sotelo and wife Teresa of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joe Sotelo and wife Louisa of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alonzo Sotelo and wife Sandra of Abilene, Claudia Juarez and husband Moses of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gloria sotelo of Abilene, Eddie Sotelo of Piedras Negras, Mexico and Andres Sotelo and wife Misty of Tulsa, Oklahoma; long time companion, Dolores Martinez of Abilene; step children, Emilio Carranza, Ryan Carranza and Alexandra Carranza, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
