Obituary

Joseph Ryan Fernandez also known to family and friends as "Keka", of Abilene passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at 6:00PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Mission Abilene Church.
Joseph was born January 21, 1991 in Abilene, TX to Brenda Bagwell and Joe Fernandez Sr. He attended Thomas Elementary and Franklin Middle School. He graduated from Abilene High School and received his diploma . He also attended barber school and was on his way to be a self employed barber for his future career. Joseph loved taking rides and picking up his nieces and nephews to spend time with. He also enjoyed working with his brother at Fernandez Insulation, and detailing cars. Joseph was the most loving, caring, and a big teddy bear that always had the biggest beautiful smile. He loved riding around jamming to his music he loved and stopping by family and friends to check on them. Joseph had a funny goofy side that would always light up any room and he would give anyone his last.
Joseph Ryan Fernandez was preceded in death by Barbra Gann (grandmother), Charles Bagwell (grandfather), Dominga and Felipe Fernandez (grandmother & grandpa), Calvin Ray Braswell (uncle), Connie Pedroza (aunt) and Andrea Galvan (cousin), along with other very loved cousins, uncles and friends.
Joseph Ryan Fernandez is survived by his son Bentley Ryan Fernandez, only sibling brother Joe Fernandez Jr. and parents Brenda Bagwell, Joe Fernandez Sr. and step mom Rhonda Salazar. Immediate nieces and nephews; Aubrey Fernandez, Zoe Fernandez, Joe Fernandez the 3rd, Isaiah Fernandez, Kaylee Fernandez, Elijah Fernandez and following his great nephew Messiah Lindsey and a host of aunts, uncles and great cousins.
