granddaughter Keyara Sapp, granddaughter Tinaya Sapp, niece Rita R. McCurley, Farmington, New Mexico, nephew Daniel B. McCurley, La Mesa, New
Mexico, great niece, Hanna B. McCurley, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Sapp. Joseph Henry McCurley was born in El Paso, Texas on January 29, 1944. He attended Alta Vista elementary school in El Paso, Texas, until his mother and sister, Maudie Sugg McCurley and Maggie Mollie McCurley, respectively, passed away together on March 10, 1946.
Joseph Henry McCurley and his father Cecil McCurley moved to Abilene, Texas, where Joseph attended Crockett Elementary, Hamby Elementary, and graduated from Abilene High School.After high school, Joseph Henry McCurley entered the workforce as a local landscaper with his father Clay McCurley. He also repaired classic transistor radios and televisions, as a hobby. Joseph McCurley's work experience included, 27 years, as an employee, with the City of Abilene, Texas Water Utilities Department. After retiring from the City of Abilene, Joseph McCurley was employed parttime by United Supermarkets. Joseph Henry McCurley attended New Light Baptist Church on a regular basis with his wife of 24 years, Judy Sapp McCurley.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 07, 2024 10:00 a.m. at New Light Baptist Church 518 North 6th Street Abilene, Texas 7960. Services entrusted to North's Funeral Home.
