Joe L. Mills joined the lord on Thursday, July 28th when he passed away peacefully at his home in Abilene, Texas. Joe Lawrence Mills was born was born October 11, 1931, in Vernon, Texas to Joe and Evelyn (Lawrence) Mills. Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend to many. Joe loved baseball, football and golf, a good joke, his wife Cathy and his family. He never met a stranger and could never do enough for anyone. He leaves behind his Daughters; Sandra (Marshall), Becki (Brad), his sons; Larry (Johanna), Richard (Louise), and Steven (Marina); fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
