Joyce Marie Blakely 66 of Tye was called to her eternal resting place on April 27, 2022 after ending her battle with cancer. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 11am at Tye Cemetery with Rev. Michael Chandler officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home Chapel. Joyce was born November 10, 1955 in Abilene, TX to Margaret Joyce Jones and Jimmy William Jones. Joyce received her primary education from Abilene public schools. After High School she began her life's journey of raising her children, she had many different jobs however her most favorite was working with her husband doing vinyl siding on homes. In her spare time she loved to have cook outs and spend quality time with her family. Holiday get togethers and family camping trips were some of her favorite things to do with her family. Joyce was loved by many and will be missed dearly. She was a strong willed woman and she proved that to the very end. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Margaret Jones, brothers David, James and Troy Jones, and a sister Mary Ann Gilbreath as well as a grandson Roger Rogers. She is survived by her husband Terry Blakely of Tye, TX. Daughter, Patricia & spouse Jessie Rogers of Odessa TX. Son, Wayne Martin & spouse Brian of Arlington, TX. Daughter, Tracy Martin & partner Wilson of Trent TX. Daughter, Robin Martin of Tye, TX. Son David Martin of Merkel TX. Daughter Misty & spouse Bill Miley of Abilene, TX. Son, Mickey Arp of Tye, TX. And Son, William Arp of Abilene TX. Sisters; Karen Burge, Sandra Robinson, Freida Jones. Brothers; Ronnie Jones, and Eddie Cagle. 23 Grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and many friends.
