Obituary

Joyce Ann Smith Esco was born December 20, 1942 in Gilmer, Texas to Reverend Noble E. Smith And Sue Belle Skinner. She was one of eleven siblings. She was raised in the Baptist church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She married Carl Esco Sr. and had five children: Carla Ellis (Anthony) of Abilene Tx, Chiquitha Kinsey Esco of Abilene Tx, Roland Esco (Vicki) of Dallas Tx, Yolandra Esco of Dallas, TX and Carl Esco Jr of Woodward OK. Joyce lived in Dallas, Texas and attended Pathway Non-Denomination Church where she served in the Helping Hands Ministry. She was a member of the Gloryrettes and Dallas Chapter Quartet. She received her GED while living in Dallas. In 2018 Joyce and her family relocated to Abilene. She then joined Shiloh Baptist Church under Pastor Robert E. Brooks. She is proceeded in death by her parents, oldest sister, two brothers, and a grandson. To cherish her memories are her husband, children, siblings, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Joyce was a prayer warrior who loved her family and friends. She devoted her life to her family and church. She will be missed by many.
