Juan Domingo Gutierrez of Abilene passed away Saturday May 2, 2020 at his home with family by his side. Graveside service will be held Wednesday May 6, 2020 at 10am at the Elliot-Hamil Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday in the North's Funeral Home Chapel from 11am -5pm. All services will be held in accordance to the covid-19 policies.
Juan Domingo Gutierrez was born in Robstown, Texas(Nueces County) to Juan and Maria V. Gutierrez. Juan grew up in and around North Texas. Juan was a Husband and Widower of Margarite Ortegon Gutierrez, married until death parted them 43 years. Together they had 4 children, living Jessica Ann Gutierrez and Melody Irene Gutierrez, Nadia Margarite Gutierrez and Amaya Annamarie Gutierrez, Amanda Ramirez of Abilene, Texas. Juan was a retired Truck Driver who worked numerous years for Thornton's Department Store, Lockheed Martin, and Mayfield Paper Company. Juan enjoyed music and played the accordion. He was involved in the music business and enjoyed playing with some local bands. He enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren whom, he adored. and his Family whom he loved. everyone loved Tio Juan
Juan is proceeded in death by his Parents Juan and Maria V. Gutierrez, His wife of 43 years Margarite O. Gutierrez and 2 Children Johnny Gutierrez Jr. and Rose Marie Gutierrez. Siblings Felipe Gutierrez, Margarita Gutierrez Valdez, Maria Gutierrez Portillo, Juanita Gutierrez Perez and Grandchild Eliza Gutierrez and Nephew Michael A. Portillo and Great Nephew Jose M. Arrazola proceed him in death.
Juan is survived by his Daughters and Siblings Louis V. Gutierrez(Marsha), Lucia Jimenez(John), Jose V. Gutierrez, Dolores Rodriquez- Bivins(Wayne) of Abilene, Texas and Anita V. Gutierrez, San Angelo, Texas, Frank V. Gutierrez of Denton, Texas and Margarita Brown of Weatherford, Texas, His Niece Addy Guerrero(Pascual) of Lubbock, Texas, Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews and Extended Family.
