Juan Daniel Ortiz of Abilene passed away on April 14, 2021. A Visitation will be held from 11-2pm Monday April 19, 2021 at North's Funeral Home. With a graveside service at Elmwood Memorial Park at 3pm. Juan was born September 15, 1950 in San Antonio, TX to Flora Garcia and Daniel G. Ortiz. Juan received his primary education from San Antonio schools. Juan was an out door enthusiast. He worked at Bonnie Plant Farm for 10 years. He was a humble kind hearted father with a sarcastic sense of humor. He never missed his morning cup of coffee. He spent his time thrifting , coming to the rescue of anyone in need, and was an avid reader. His affectionate and prankster nature will be greatly missed. Juan was preceded in death by parents; Daniel and Flora Ortiz. Left to cherish his memories are: daughters; Melissa Deluna, Joanna Ortiz, Carla Bocanegra, Flor McPeters, Paloma Johnson, and Emily Ortiz. Son; Juan Daniel Ortiz Jr., brothers; Rudy Ortiz, and Richard Ortiz, sister: Olga Reyna, step brothers; Daniel Ortiz Jr. and Javier Ortiz, step sisters; Gracie Ortiz, Janette Ortiz, and Linda Ortiz.
