Juan Dean Snow of Kerrville passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 15th at 4pm with visitation being held from 3-4pm at North's Funeral Home Chapel, 242 Orange St. in Abilene, Texas 79601, Richard Petree officiating. Private Interment will be held at Elmwood Memorial Park. Juan Dean Deatherage Snow was born south of Round Mound in Jones County, to Emmett and Myrtle Deatherage on September 17, 1932. She attended school at Hamby, Willow Creek, North Junior High and Abilene High. She married Dan Frank Snow on July 15, 1949. She was an avid homemaker, seamstress, wife and mother. She retired after 28 years as head teller for the Southwest Bank & Trust (now Bank of America) in Irving, Texas. Dean and Dan were volunteer adult leaders for the Hamby 4-H Club. Dean coached and hauled various grass, range, wool & mohair and livestock judging teams for the county. Juan Dean Snow was preceded in death by her parents, John Emmett Deatherage and Myrtle Harendt Deatherage, brother Raymond Deatherage and sister Helen Deatherage Stokes. Her husband of 63 years, Dan Frank Snow passed in March of 2012. Juan Dean is survived by her son, Billy Dan Snow and wife Maggie of Kerrville, Texas and the joy of her life, two granddaughters Laura Dean McGeough of San Antonio, Texas and Danielle Brogan Snow of Austin, Texas.
