Judith Gail "Rivers" Greenwood born June 24th 1940 to Robert Wesley Rivers and Dorothy Lois Davis in New London, New Hampshire. She went to be with the lord Saturday January 24th,2026. She passed away at home surrounded by loved ones and her dog Pepper at her feet and fat snow flakes coming down. She attended school in New Hampshire and graduated Summa Cum Laude at Odessa college in Texas. She later married James Greenwood, a Navy veteran in 1977 in San Antonio then the couple moved to Pecos Texas where she spent most of her years. She loved having all of her family together as well gardening, sunflowers, lilies and anything gnomes. Her kind soul led her into helping rescue many animals over the years. She loved shopping at thrift stores, always finding a good bargain and her regular Lowe's trips with her son for more flowers and bird seed. Winter was her favorite time as she loved ice skating and the snow. It reminded her of her childhood up North. She also loved her time volunteering at West Park Baptist church where she met her Best Friend Elva Lujan. She eventually made her way to Abilene,Texas where spent her final years with her son and his family. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Flavilla and Irving Davis, parents Robert and Dorothy Rivers, brother Douglas Spencer Rivers ,husband James Greenwood, her daughter Marcia Lee Hunt, son Robert Bruce Hunt and her great grandson Damion "Widget" Brinkley-Dunn. She is survived by her Son David Scott Colmery and wife Tammy, daughter Jamie Lynn Straub and husband Keith, grandchildren Amber Dawn Compton and husband Bryan, Sarah and Joshua Brinkley, Austin Jenkins ,David Scott "Boomer" Colmery II, Tyler, Kynzie, Kyra Colmery and Kadence Chapman. Great grandchildren: Jameson Brinkley, Cyanne Compton, Stetson Sharp, Emelynn, Kesslee and Bentley Colmery as well as numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
