Obituary

Juliana Lopez Hernandez of Abilene passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, in Abilene, TX. Funeral Services will be held Friday September 24 at 10am at St. Francis Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at North's Funeral home with Rosary to begin at 7pm. Juliana was born February 16, 1937, in San Benito, TX to Georgiana Cortez and Luis Lopez. The family would like to start off by thanking her son Reymundo Luna who devoted his life to taking care of her. In Juliana's spare time she loved to sing, play the accordion, & you could always find her at Ambler bingo! Juliana was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Cecilio Hernandez, brother Juan Lopez, sisters Reyes Trevino, Maximina Avalos, Patsy Perez, granddaughter Delia DeLuna, and great great grandson Jaxon Chavez. Left to cherish her memories are sons Reymundo Luna, Pete (Rosalinda) Luna, Manuel (Estela) Luna Jr, Julio (Linda) Luna, Martin Luna, Frank (Teresa) Luna, and Fredrick Hernandez. Her daughters Carmen (Roberto) Tijerina, Celia (Roy) Martinez, Juana Luna, and Christina Luna. She was also survived by 3 sisters & 10 brothers. She has 30 Grandchildren, 68 Great grandchildren, and 12 great great Grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by this huge family she created, remembered for the love she gave, and the strength she showed us to always believe in God. Pallbearers will be all her sons.
