Julio T. Montes-Valdez 45 of Abilene passed away Monday, July 19, 2021.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday August 3, 2021 at 10 am at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church located at 2525 Westview Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held Monday August 2, 2021 from 6-8pm with Rosary to begin at 7pm. All are asked to wear White or Red to honor his life's journey from earth to heaven and to celebrate the amazing, talented, and incredible person Julio was.
Julio was born April 12, 1976 in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico to Juanita Montes and Tomas Zamora Montes. They moved to the states when he was just 2 years old. Julio graduated from Del Rio High School in 1995. After graduation he moved back to Abilene, TX he met Yvone Montes Valdez February 28, 2008 and spent 13 loving years together. They were officially married by the Catholic church, St. Vincent Pollotti on February 22, 2014. He had an inspiring way of speaking peace to others & an amazing testimony of faith and love all the while becoming a strong man of God. He had incredible love for his family, friends, and would make anyone feel welcomed that he didn't know. He also had a funny sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. In his spare time he loved playing video games, shooting fireworks, and watching the latest Marvel movies with his son Augustine and teaching his daughter A'Olani how to cook & bake. He enjoyed being a DJ, singing, dancing, & listening to music. He loved Lowriders & working on cars like his dad.
Julio was preceded in death by his Father Tomas Zamora Montes, Niece Devonny Naveah Martinez, Great Niece Halo Dehoyos and grandparents, aunt's and uncles.
Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Yvone Montes-Valdez of abilene, son Augustine Flores Montes, daughter A'Olani Montes, mother, Juanita Montes, sisters; Dolores Montes (Albert), Claudia Gonzales (Greg), Maria Martinez (Robert), brother, Victor Briley (Cody), 7 nephews 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews which all reside in Abilene, Texas., and a host of extended family and many friends.
