Kathryn Ann Buchanan Wells 84 of Abilene passed away Monday January 31 2011. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Dr. Herb Wood officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St .   Mrs. Wells was born December 21 1926 to Garnett and Bessie Buchanan in Dallas Texas . In June of 1949 she married her true soul mate Keith Wells in Abilene . She helped run Keith Wells Operating in Abilene . She was an experienced traveler that encompassed the world. Kathryn and Keith took boy and girl scouts on trips to Alaska backpacking in Hawaii and around the world in eighty-three days. She loved to travel and experience all that the world had to offer.     She was preceded in death by her parents her sister Mildred Lyday and brothers Bill Hasha and Roy Buchanan.   She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years Major John Keith Wells. Children; Connie Wells Schultz and husband Herman of Arvada Colorado John Del Wells of   Wheatridge Colorado and Wes Wells and wife Debi of Waco Texas. Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. One nephew Bill Lyday and wife Janice of Georgetown Texas.   In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society 209 S.
