Kathy Pack 72 of Abilene passed away Thursday December 03 2009. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday at North's Memorial Chapel with Dr. Herb Wood officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel. Kathy was born September 19 1937 in San Angelo Texas to Claude and Eula McMillan Carter. She moved to Abilene in 1964. She married Ray Pack on October 14 1964 in Merkel. She attended Cisco Jr. College where she received her nursing degree (LVN) at the age of 43. She worked at Hendrick Medical Center Abilene State School and spent the last twelve years working private duty for Cheryl Crawford. Kathy loved to dance and enjoyed western music because that was how she met her husband Ray who has a western band. She also enjoyed cooking and won many blue ribbons at the West Texas Fair in the 1970's. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by her husband Ray; two sons Dennis Wayne Langston of Dayton Ohio and Andrew Kevin Langston of Abilene; a granddaughter Lexi Langston; and a sister Carrie Jo Harley of Redding California.
