Kenneth R. Bailey 76 of Abilene passed away Saturday April 12 2008. A memorial service will be held in the First Baptist Church Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Dr. Phil Christopher officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Mr. Bailey was born and raised in Amarillo Texas. He moved to Abilene in 1993. He retired from Texaco after 32 years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife Betty Bailey; son and daughter-in-law Ken and Merry Bailey of Rockwall Texas; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Janeen Bailey of Austin Texas; daughter and son-in-law Karen and John Snapp of Abilene; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. The family appreciates the care Mr. Bailey received from Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Hospice.
