Kenneth Ray Gregg, Sr., 87 years old, of Abilene Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 24th, 2022 in Abilene Tx.
His Memorial service will be held 5-7 pm on Thursday, December 29th at North's Funeral Home with Terry Sanders officiating. Services are under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street, Abilene, TX 79604.
Kenneth Ray Gregg Sr was born in Breckenridge, Texas to William Young and Odessa Pearl Gregg on December 9, 1935. He graduated from Odessa High School in Odessa Texas. He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He married the love of his life Patsy Raye Gregg on June 22, 1957 in Arlington, Texas. They were married for 65 years. He was involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Masonic Lodge, JC's of Odessa. He coached softball and was a beloved bus driver for Wylie ISD affectionately known as Mr. Ken. He is a member of Broadview Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas. He was a competitive member of the tennis and baseball teams for Odessa High. He loved bowling, racing homing pigeons, raising rabbits, working in his garden, being with family and fishing with his grandchildren.
Kenneth Ray Gregg Sr. was preceded in death by his father William Young Gregg, his mother Odessa Pearl Gregg and his brother William Young Gregg Jr.
Kenneth Ray Gregg Sr. is survived by his spouse Patsy Raye Gregg, his children Kenneth Ray Gregg Jr., Richard Dean Gregg, and Rodney Oren Gregg Sr and his wife Carolyn J. Gregg. His sister Pam Looney and husband Charles Looney. Grandchildren Madison, Taylor, Kensey, Kiley, Trey, Colt, R.J., Mason, Mikalyn, and Riley. Great grandchildren Carrigan, Kennedy, Odin, Daizy, and Wrenleigh.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and West Texas Rehab Center.
