Kenneth Wayne Horton of Abilene Texas passed away on Monday June 25 2012. Funeral services will be on Thursday June 28 2012 at 10:30 AM at Hillcrest Church of Christ. David Noles of Levelland Texas will be officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. A visitation will be at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street on Wednesday June 27 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Wayne was born on October 11 1947 in Plainview Texas to Claud and Mae Horton. He was so proud and humbled to be a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 3 decades. He was also a Texas State Prison Chaplain for 8 years. Wayne and his wife Carol blessed so many churches and countless people throughout the years. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Claud and Mae Horton. Wayne is survived by his wife Carol his sisters Louise and Betty his brothers Leon and Raymond his sons Mike Ken and Landon and their wives and five grandchildren.
