Kenneth Doyle Plemons 85 of Abilene died in his home on February 7 2012. Funeral will be 2:00pm Saturday February 11 at North's Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Peters will officiate. Visitation 5:00 – 7:00pm Friday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street . Doyle was born May 26 1926 to Henry and Almeda Plemons in the family farm house in Fisher County . He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWll returning to be a teacher and principal in the Abilene ISD from 1952 through 1984. Doyle was also a lifetime member of University Baptist Church . Doyle was preceded in death by his parents his wife Billie of 57 years his daughter Debbie brothers Jack James Pete Ford and his sister Vada Putnum. Doyle is survived by his son Kim and wife Cindy of Waxahachie Texas ; grandson Benjamin of Amarillo Texas; sister Joe Taylor of Arlington Texas and numerous nieces nephews cousins and many lifetime friends.
