Kenneth Wayne Skipworth, "Skeeter" 83, of Abilene, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. A graveside memorial service with Chris Hale officiating will be held on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at 3pm at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7pm at the North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St.
Skeeter was born on August 19th, 1935 in Vernon, TX to Fowler and Ola Hicks Skipworth. He lived in Abilene his whole adult life and retired from UPS in 2000. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Dorothy Mae Crane on November 7th, 1953. They were married for 58 years.
Skeeter was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother, Jack Skipworth and three sisters-Judy Flynn, Leta Jean Beck, and Betty Ann Kiselwick.
He is survived by his three daughters-Jamie Schreck and husband Mike, Angie Pence and husband Mike and Jennifer Wright and husband Chris; Seven grandchildren-Michael Pence and wife Kendra, Lacie Pence, Kara Pence, Kayla Pence, Macie Josselet, Ravin Wright, and Gage Wright; one great-grandson, Parker Pence and one sister, Dorothy Rowland.
Everyone that knew him loved his jovial attitude. He loved his family and spending time with them. He was loyal to those he loved, standing by them through everything.
