Kevin DeWayne Lemond, 41, of Hawley, Texas, died on Friday, August 29, 2014. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in North's Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3rd, in Elmwood Memorial Cemetery, with Earl Robertson officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street.
Mr. Lemond was born on July 26, 1973, in Abilene, Texas to Doyle and Betty Lemond. He attended Abilene schools and graduated from TSTC in Sweetwater studying auto body repair. He worked as a dry- waller for Harris Acoustics and for the Fairway Oaks Country Club in Lubbock and Abilene. He also owned and operated K.D. Weed Control for several years. He liked Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his children. He loved and cherished his daughters and his pets especially his pit bull, Dozier.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Ada Lemond, and Reynolds and Pauline Taylor.
He is survived by his parents, Doyle and Betty Lemond; his two daughters, Kaitlyn and Allison Lemond; two brothers, Clifford Lemond and wife Yvonne, and Derrill Rex Lemond and wife Tramella.
