Lacy Louis Hooks 93, of Abilene passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Abilene, Tx. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Elliott-Hamil "Garden Of Memories" Cemetery in the "Garden of Prayer," 5701 Hwy 277 South, with Pastor John Whitten Officiating. Services under the direction of North's Funeral Home.

Lacy was born August 16, 1931 in Crockett, TX to Julia Mae Deaton and Henry Lacy Hooks. Lacy received his formal education from Crockett School District. After graduating in 1949 from Crockett High School, he went to work for a furniture business in Crockett for 16 years and then went to worked as an Assistant Manager for Goodyear in Abilene, Tx for 17 years and later worked for Abilene Professional Services in Abilene, Tx., as their Manager for 22 years. Lacy was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist

Lacy was preceded in death by his parents, Henry lacy Hooks and Julia Mae Hooks; brother, Bobby Hooks; and sister, Mary Claire Opperman.

Left to cherish his memories are: wife, Mary Louise Hooks; son, Stephen Lacy Hooks and wife Olivia; 4 step-children, Mary Stevens and husband Johnie; Toree Gee and husband David; Danny Fought and wife Sandra and Scott Milan and host of nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.
