LaDonna Kristian Massey 42 of Abilene, Texas, passed away on August 20, 2025. LaDonna was born May 16, 1983 at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri, and spent her early childhood in England while her father served in the United States Air Force. In 1989, her family relocated to Abilene, Texas, where she continued to grow and flourish. She attended Dyess Elementary, Madison Middle School, and graduated from Cooper High School. LaDonna continued her education at Cisco Junior College and McMurry University. She went on to serve her community through her work at the Abilene State Supported Living Center for many years. LaDonna had a creative spirit and was a gifted artist who loved to draw. She also had a deep appreciation for books and music, and she cherished time spent outdoors with her children. Her greatest joy came from being a mother, and she devoted herself to creating beautiful memories with her children. LaDonna had a remarkable sense of humor that could light up any room, and a warm, unforgettable smile that brought joy to everyone around her. She is lovingly survived by her three children: Zoey, Zachary, and Maddox; her parents, Donnie and Barbary Massey; and her siblings: Donnetta Massey, Deirdre Massey, and Diona Olson (Brandon), all of Abilene. She also leaves behind her cherished nephews, Jason and David Charles, and nieces, DeLianna, ViVianna, and Charli, LaDonna is also survived by a host of maternal and paternal family members, a brother Durwin L. Jones, a beloved friend Rene Cervantes, co-workers, friends, and church family who prayed for her "Without Ceasing". LaDonna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clara and John Thomas Billups, and her paternal grandparents, Charlie and Lucy Massey. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 6-8 p.m. at North's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 608 N. 7th St., Abilene, TX 79601. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. LaDonna will be remembered for her kind heart, artistic talent, and the love she poured into her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
