Larry E. Hall passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 29th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born on April 1st, 1953 in Oliveville, KY to Amos and Hazel Hall. At a young age he moved to Defiance, Ohio where he graduated from Ayersville High School. Soon after he joined the military, serving in the U.S. Army for two years. He then married his wife, Frances, and settled in Defiance where they resided until 2015. During his time in Ohio, he proudly served 24 years on the Police Force for the City of Defiance and was involved in many community organizations. After retirement, he was joyfully employed by Schaffer's Funeral home until 2014.
In 2015, The couple moved to Abilene, TX to be closer to their son, Kevin, and their grandchildren. His most enjoyed past time was spending time with his family and his most treasured achievements, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather, two sisters and two brothers. He is survived in death by wife, Frances (Brown) Hall, son Kevin Hall, daughter Tracy Brock, three brothers and 4 sisters, and seven grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 at 1:00pm at Texas State Veterans Cemetery of Abilene.
