Larry Miller Hutchens was born September 6 1944 in Knox City Texas to Ruth and Billie Hutchens. He died in Abilene on Friday April 26 2013. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:30 p.m. Monday April 29 2013 at North's Funeral Home. He attended school in Goree until 1959 and graduated from Hawley High School in 1962. Larry served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He worked as a finish carpenter for many years. Larry was always generous and would help everyone who needed his help. He will be cremated and his ashes joined with his wife's to be spread in the mountains of Colorado where they met. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather Al Wilson; and his loving wife Carol. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Turner and husband Jimmy of Dallas; sisters  Johnnie Merrill and husband Charlie of Austin and Brenda Dickson and husband Joe of Seymour; stepbrother Howard Wilson and wife Cindy of Austin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
