Larry J. Maxwell, age 80of Buffalo Gap passed from this life on May 2, 2022. Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 11am on Thursday, May 12 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Larry was born in Reno, Nevada on October 30, 1941 to Mary and John Maxwell. He was raised by Leon A. Compton, Sr., brother of Alfred Maxwell and Leon Compton Jr., all predeceased. Loving husband of Laverne, who passed away years ago and loving companion of Jean Simmons. Larry leaves behind Jean and sister in law Kathy to keep his memory alive. Larry participated in his community with Gunslingers and drove Big Rigs most of his life. He retired from the US Army after 20 years where he served in Germany. He loved riding his Harley, feeling free of all cares. We just need to keep his memory in our hearts so he will always be remembered.
