Larry Don Sparks Sr. 54 of Abilene passed away at home on August 9 2013. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 in North's Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7:00 at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Larry was born on March 21 1959 to D.R. Sparks and Betty Melton Sparks in Knox City Texas. He married the love of his life Sandra Johnson on February 28 1983 in Seymour Texas. He worked as an auto technician in Abilene for many years. He touched the lives of many and everyone who knew him loved him dearly and will miss him. He was a wonderful husband father grandfather brother uncle and friend. Larry was preceded in death by his parents D.R. and Betty Sparks and his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his wife Sandra of the home; one son Larry Jr. of Abilene; one daughter Angela Tatum and husband Brandon and grandsons Braxton and Branson of Clyde; two brothers Terry and Randy and wife Cynthia; one sister Paula Phillips and husband Tom all of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews and great-nephews and great-nieces.
